MindCatch ("we," "our," or "us") is an AI-powered thought capture and organization app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the MindCatch mobile application and related services (the "Service").

Account Information

When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address. We use this solely for authentication and to personalize your experience.

User-Generated Content

We store the thoughts, notes, and tasks you create within MindCatch. This content is stored securely on our servers so you can access it across sessions.

AI Classification Data

When you capture a thought, our AI analyzes it to categorize it (task, idea, emotion, or journal entry) and extract relevant tags. This classification is stored alongside your thought to help you organize and prioritize.

Device & Usage Data

We collect minimal technical data such as app version, device type, and crash reports to maintain and improve the Service. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

We use the following third-party services to operate MindCatch:

• Supabase — Authentication, database, and data storage
• Anthropic (Claude API) — AI-powered thought classification and focus generation
• Vercel — Web hosting and serverless API infrastructure
• Expo / EAS — Mobile app build and distribution

These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement row-level security policies to ensure only you can access your own data. Guest mode data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers until you sign in.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. When you delete your account, all your data — including thoughts, tasks, focus items, and profile information — is permanently removed from our servers.

MindCatch is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access and export your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
